I bought this pan because I wanted a stainless steel 9x13 pan, primarily to be used for baking cakes and brownies. Unfortunately, the center of the bottom pan has a raised section (in other words, there is a section all the way around the sides of the pan that is the full depth, but there is a shallower rectangular section inside that area), so if you are baking a cake or brownies, the pieces in the middle come out flatter than the ones at the edges. As a result of this design flaw (which is what I consider it to be), the pan is not really suitable for the primary purpose for which I bought it. If I had seen it in a store, I would not have bought it, but because I ordered it online, I was unaware of the way the bottom of the pan is shaped. I kept it because it's such a nuisance to return things by mail (not to mention the cost of shipping it back), but I am disappointed in it. However, if you are using it for something other than baking cakes and brownies, you will probably like it a lot.

The metal (stainless steel) is not heavy gage, it is thin. Also, rim is folded, which creates an anti-hygine environment. I returned it back.

The pan is light weight but the cover is heavy. It actually does not burn the food, and its size and shape are hard to find in stainless steel. So I guess I should say I am happy with it after all . If I want a heavier pan, or more fancy, then I guess I will need to pay more money. I think this pan is reasonable after I used it.
